So I have been tweaking paintings and rolling canvases and it has been a real task. But it has to be done and no one else is going to get it done except for me. So i tough it out and smile. I hope to the Goddesses that the pain will be a thing of the past by show time because I still have to pick up a rental car, load my inventory into that car, drive down the Delaware and drop the car off where my friend Paul will be waiting with his pick-up truck to take me to his home where i still have to check my inventory that i left there last year. Then i have to prepare for the show ... put up my canopy, stretch canvases to stretchers, a couple of trips to Loews for any needed supplies, and a whole mess of other things. i will not be able to rest from now until July 3rd at 7 PM when i will breath my sigh of relief and hopefully pat myself on the back for a job well done.

Not the best time for me!

My sister's been dealing with cancer for over a year and a half. Sorry!

My collection of paintings are all done and i am ready for the Lewes Art Show in Delaware. I will reserve my rental car and my friend Paul will meet me at the drop off point, "Thanks Paul, you're the best! I'm looking forward to spending some time with you and going sailing. I am sure we can use the relaxation"!

Besides that I have been working out at the gym, taking group classes and I have been smoke free going on 5 months. I feel amazing!!! I've been getting offers from a few "Vanity" art galleries. You can look it up on google what "Vanity" galleries are. My version of the definition of a Vanity Gallery? A bunch of crooks who want starving and deperate artist to pay their rent and mortgage.

I never fell for it and never will. Artist should not have to pay to show their work, if they make a sale then a percentage should go to the gallery. Why would anyone pay tons of money to hang their work up in a gallery with no chance of profitting? Of course the crooks will if you fall for it!

I will be working on a whole new collection of work as soon as this show is over and i take a break. I plan on working with lots of texture and saturated color! Sounds like what I do now? Well, I've gotten better and will get better and better!

My plans for the next 2 years? To stay fit, smoke free, make some quality friendships that will last forever, open up an art gallery with afford exhibtion space to allow artist to get plenty of exposure and to make a profit.

more later .....
